2008-09 Augsburg College Wrestling Season Preview

MINNEAPOLIS (10/29/08) — There’s a lot of “new” for the Augsburg College wrestling team in 2008-09 — a new head coach in alumnus Mark Matzek; and a new roster, as 23 of the 45 wrestlers are newcomers to the program, making up one of the largest recruiting and transfer classes in program history.

But just as there will be new, there will also be experience. Six starters and 21 letterwinners, including three All-Americans and four national tournament qualifiers, return to the program. Several veteran coaches will return to the Auggie coaching staff under Matzek.  READ MORE HERE!
