Lehigh U. opens season against Rider today

Eight starters from last year’s 23-1 team earn berths; Hawks look ahead to big competition.

Pat Santoro knows more than to take things for granted. As a two-time NCAA wrestling champion, he knows the value and results that are possible through hard work, especially after his first season as head coach of Lehigh University’s wrestling team was so successful.

As the wrestling team gets set to kick off its 2009-10 season with its season-opening match against Rider at 2 p.m. today at Leeman-Turner Arena inside Grace Hall, the 23 school-record wins of last season are definitely in the past.
