Dear Willie, nice write up, you really know your sport and I for one greatly appreciate that. Having said that, and since we now know the results of both the AA and AAA tournaments could you try your hand at picking the best representatives for PA in the Dapper Dan and since we know the reps for the USA side give your opinion of the results for those bouts. Really looking forward to seeing how you blend the AA and AAA reps. I don't see how you can leave off Dziewa at 135, Kindig at 140, Alton at 145 and 152, Peppleman at 160, Callender at 189, and Craig at 285. I don't know AA as well Rhone at 119 or if he can make the weight 112, Spisak or Martelloti if Spizak is not a Senior at 130, etc. assuming everyone stays in their weights, which of course they won't. 125 should be Mitchell Port. I know it is heavy with AAA wrestlers, but they are deserving.
My shot at the Dapper Dan, it's a shame that Megaludis or Beckman aren't seniors, either one would give Finch a battle, but 10-5 over Rhone, Steiber over Port- Steiber getting 5 takedowns and an escape, Clarke beating Martelloti, Dziewa could pin Nieman, but does win, Villalonga is very tough, but I think Kindig wins a close one, both Altons and Peppleman win with at least one pin and one tecky, at 171 (note: whatever weight class they might meet each other I look forward to Kenny Courts beating Chris Phillips) Eric Hess beats Nick Visicaro, Mike Evans beats Callender at 189, Spencer Myers loses a close one to Trevor Rupp at 215, finally at heavy Evan Craig or Michael McMullen over Bobby Telford. PA wins 35-23. out.

EXCELLENT analysis of the strength of the PA wrestling class this year. If Mike Evans of Blair Academy stayed in PA, you could make a strong argument that the PA team would be "the favorite" to win the Dapper Dan this year.

Nice write up.

A couple of corrections in the AA 152 pound class.

Hain was semi-finalist last year losing to Hess and in 2007 losing to Andrew Arnold.

Strickland has beaten Hain the three times they have wrestled this year. Strickland lost to Mike Testen in the District IV tournament which Hain won.
