After coaching Montini to eight state championships and 32 individual state champions, Mike Bukovsky retired Wednesday night.
Bukovsky has been at the helm of Montini wrestling since 1993, but decided to walk away from the program Wednesday in order to spend more time with his family.
“I’ve been coaching for 25 years and I’ve put wrestling ahead of everything else,” said Bukovsky, who compilied a 460-39 record as the team’s head coach. “I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be around and I need to reprioritize things in my life.”
