   113 Pounds- JORDAN SHEARER, WEST FARGO ND

   2009-2010: State Champion as a 7th Grader

   2010-2011: State Champion as an 8th grader, went 6-0 at The Clash with three pins, and a 6-0 win over Wisconsin state champ (Crone). He also had wins over Iowa state champ (Minor-pin), and Minnesota state champs (Sykora-pin) and (Thorn-freestyle). Cadet Greco All-American (6th place). 10-0 Gold Medalist at AAU Middle School Duals.

   2011-2012: 2nd @ JJ Classic (Lost 3-1 to Fredy Stroker, pinned Brock Morgan, Apple Valley-Cadet Nat’l Freestyle Champ, beat Jared OFtedahl) Currently 25-1 on the season (Only loss was a decision to Thorn). Has beaten many Minnesota kids (Tristan Manderfeld, Garret Wangsness X2, Tanner Johnshoy) Won the Rumble on the Red.

   I don’t know all of the accolades for those ranked or what may put Jordan above them, but I have a hard time wrapping my finger around a reason why Jordan shouldn’t be on that list.

   I think palacio @152 is a top 10 kid. Nice job on having zupan @170 ranked now. He’s very tough. Hopefully we see a murphy vs finnchiaro state finals match @138 this year.

   ndk- shearer also has a lot of losses against unranked kids, including dpn’s at both fargo fs and usaw preseason nationals.

   also brock morgan isn’t a cadet FS champ. you’re thinking of seth gross.

   You’re right, he did DNP at Freestyle- He lost to Karstetter who was an AA in that tournament and Lantz who is nationally ranked. He also did have a win last spring over Thorn in Freestyle who was the champion of that very same bracket.

   No real explanation about pre-season nationals…

   All his other losses are to nationally ranked kids and he’s beaten many kids who have been previously ranked.

   How many “Big wins” does a kid need before they start becoming “Big Wins” rather than “Bad Losses” for his opponent? Overall I feel you do a tremendous job on these rankings, i just happen to disagree with you on this instance.

   lost to #10-Thorn, 9-3
   dec. HM-Manderfield, 3-2
   pinned by Unranked Nelson Baker
   lost to Unranked Zach Smith, 5-0
   dec. HM-Jared Oftedahl, 8-4
   lost to #16-Stroker, 3-1
   Fargo FS:
   lost to #19-Lantz
   lost to HM-Karstetter
   no notable wins
   Fargo GR:
   lost to HM-Macri
   lost to two other unranked kids
   beat HM-Laster

   so to my knowledge, since last summer, he’s had 8 losses and no ranked wins

   Hey Willie, great job…as usual…with the rankings. I just noticed that Minotti went down to 145. Do you think Solomon Chisko will go down a weight too for states? If not, I love that matchup for the state finals. That would have to be the most exciting match up in PA this year. What do you think?

    you need to keep an eye out for a heavy weight named Hixson from Northern Bedford, Pa. I am surprised he is not listed. NBC is a small school but this kid is something special.

    Just a little FYI on a pretty big upset in the garden state. Pelal Deeb (who might drop down to 145 for states) #3 at 152 bumped up and beat #1Johnny Sebastian 5-2.

    Deeb also wrestled James Green to a 6-5 loss at states last season, his toughest match the tournament.

    Keep him on your radar.

    From pa, Chishko has dropped to 138, Cody Copeland has dropped to 152, Matt MCcutcheon has dropped to 182. Deslurieres vs Mccutcheon in two weeks( Burrell vs Kiski)

    What about Tyler Berger from Hermiston Oregon? He has beat Tuma from Idaho and Palmer from Washington this year.

    ndk – it’s relation. pretty sure it’s his brother. tyler is 132 and a stud. i’d love to get him in, but 132 is absolutely loaded.

    Ott will drop out next week which opens up a spot. i’ll have to sort through resumes from Berger/Crutchmer/Gasca/D’Urso

    Just fyi… Gasca is 31-1,(72-9 last 2 years) has taken 1st at all 5 tourneys he has attended, including Doc B at Clovis and 5 Counties in Fountain Valley. Voted oustanding lower weight in 3 out of the 5 tourneys. Only loss, as mentioned before, 3-2 in 4ots to #1 ranked Alex Cisneros. All at 132z. Thanks for the consideration.
