The top nine teams in the November 20 USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll remained the same after the second full week of dual meet competition.
Minnesota remains atop the rankings after picking up wins over Nebraska and Boise State over the weekend.
Two-time defending NCAA champions Penn State saw its first dual meet action of the year, beating Lehigh 29-6 and West Virginia 44-3 to start the season 2-0.
Iowa handled Chattanooga, Virginia and Cumberland University to start the year 3-0, while Ohio State headed east and beat Davidson and Virginia Tech before hosting Pittsburgh and topping the Panthers.
Oklahoma was idle, but moved into the Top 10 after Oregon State dropped a 21-18 dual to visiting Michigan. The Beavers fell to 15th, while the Wolverines jumped up two spots to No. 14.
The bottom half of this week’s poll saw little movement as spots 17-23 remained unchanged. Boise State and Wisconsin fell out of the Top 25 and North Dakota State and Old Dominion entered the poll.
It’s the first time North Dakota State has entered the Top 25 since moving to Division I. Their 24-16 victory over Boise State was key. Wisconsin fell out of the Top 25 after going 1-2 on the weekend with losses to Virginia Tech and ODU, which started the year in the Top 25.
The highlight of this coming week is the large dual event in Troy, N.Y., the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Cornell, Illinois, Oklahoma, Central Michigan, Maryland and Purdue are all ranked teams competing in the 10th annual event.
