Two-time All-American Hamiti transferring to Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State has added a 165-pound All-American for the second straight year.

Dean Hamiti, a two-time NCAA All-American for Wisconsin at 165 pounds, entered the transfer portal earlier this year. On Wednesday, Hamiti announced that he is transferring to Oklahoma State.

Hamiti announced his commitment on social media and wrote the following:

"Excited to announce my commitment to Oklahoma state, it's been a dream of mine since I was little, I wanted to wrestle as a cowboy!" Thank you to everyone at Wisconsin for the time spent. I'm excited for my next chapter chasing titles for OSU."

Hamiti placed sixth at the NCAAs in both 2022 and 2023. This past season, Hamiti fell in the round of 12 to Oklahoma State's Izzak Olejnik. Last spring, Oklahoma State added Olejnik from the transfer portal after he earned All-America honors at Northern Illinois in 2023.
