The Fresno Bee
Fresno State has hired a national consultant on intercollegiate sports to help decide whether to reinstate the university’s wrestling program.
President Joseph Castro has enlisted North Carolina-based Todd Turner to review all Fresno State sports programs, the university leader said in a statement. Fresno State has not released how much Turner will be paid.
Turner is the founder and president of Collegiate Sports Associates, a sports consulting and recruiting firm. In his 32 years in the college sports world, Turner has worked as athletics director for the University of Connecticut, North Carolina State University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Washington.
