Chris Brown - USA Wrestling

History at the Veterans World Greco-Roman Championships and D1 winning streaks are the subject of our Sunday Numbers.


Greco-Roman Veterans world titles for Chris Brown after he won the Division E 85 kg gold medal in Seinajoki, Finland on Saturday. Brown is the first American to win two Greco Veterans world gold medals.


The total number of medals won by Team USA at the Veterans World Greco-Roman Championships. Joining Brown were silver medalists Mark LeVasseur (Division E, 58 kg) and Bruce Mo (Division E, 76 kg) as well as bronze medalists Gabe Beauperthuy (Division B, 130 kg) and Constantin Tintea (Division E, 85 kg).


Career losses for Northwestern sophomore Bryce Brill who has compiled a 7-0 record over the past two seasons, both of which were ended by injury. Brill received a medical redshirt for his first season.


Wins in a row by Zain Retherford, after going 33-0 last season, the longest NCAA D1 winning streak of any returning wrestler.


The second longest active winning streak, by J’Den Cox of Missouri, in NCAA D1 wrestling.
