The NCAA has announced the sites for the 2019-2022 Division I Wrestling Championships. After heading to Cleveland next year, the championships will return to Pennsylvania for the first time since 2011, this time stopping in Pittsburgh, in 2019, at the PPG Paints Arena. In 2020, US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will play host, the first time since 1996 that the championship will be held in Minneapolis. US Bank Stadium is the home of the Minnesota Vikings which should make for a spacious venue. It will be interesting to see the setup there. The 2021 tournament will be back in the familiar confines of Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri, which also hosted the tournament this year. Finally, in 2022, the Championships will return to Detroit 15 years after the city hosted the 2007 event. However, this time around the new Little Caesars Arena, in a much more centralized location, will be the venue instead of The Palace of Auburn Hills. Little Caesars Arena is slated to open this fall.
Division II will be headed to Cleveland in 2019, Sioux Falls in 2020, Birmingham in 2021, and St. Louis in 2022.
Division III is going to Roanoke in 2019, Cedar Rapids in 2020, LaCrosse in 2021, and returning to Cedar Rapids in 2022.
