With a new high school wrestling season on the horizon, it's time to take a look at some of the new faces on the scene. As is the case every year, the top freshmen come in with plenty of accolades on the freestyle and Greco-Roman circuit in addition to other age group events. What makes the cream of the crop from the class of 2021 unique is that most of these top wrestlers will start their careers in the middleweights rather than 106 or 113 lbs.  We'll break down each of the five and take a look at what the coming season may hold for them.

Carson Manville - Wyoming Seminary, Pennsylvania (132 lbs)

Like his brother Mason before him, you tend to forget that Carson Manville is an incoming freshman because of his appearances at most of the big national events while still in middle school. Carson is very advanced for his age in most of the fundamental categories. He keeps great position, is constantly moving forward, taking ground from his opponents and is a strong hand fighter. Physicality will not be a problem for this freshman 132 lber.
