The Reno Tournament of Champions (RTOC) may be the best tournament happening this weekend in Division I, but an argument can be made that the Midwest Classic is the deepest tournament at any level occurring. The RTOC will see three teams currently ranked sending starters, but at the 39th Midwest Classic 15 teams ranked in the latest NWCA DII top 25 will be taking the mat in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Highlighting the incredibly deep field will be third-ranked McKendree University, and sixth-ranked Central Oklahoma. Upper Iowa University at ninth and Ashland University at 10 round out the top teams slated to compete. 11 other teams currently ranked will be battling it out to show that they are ready to move up in the next rankings including the host team, the 11th ranked University of Indianapolis, who will be relying on their solid squad and home cooking to help bring home a team trophy. This may be the premier Division II tournament of the year until the national tournament and we will take a look at how the weights may shake out, listing all the ranked wrestlers and making our predictions for the top four places in each bracket.
