TOM has released our latest NCAA Division I team rankings for both tournaments and duals. Our rankings use match-by-match data, supplied by our friends at WrestleStat, to project how each wrestler is likely to perform against various tiers of opponents. For the dual ranking, simulated duals against every other team in the country, using today’s likely line-ups, are run with the team’s being ranked first by the number of dual wins then, in case of a tie, by point differential. For the tournament rankings, we walk through the NCAA tournament as if the wrestlers were seeded where they are currently ranked, projecting the average number of advancement, placement, and bonus points for each likely NCAA qualifier. We then total the points to produce our team projections.
