Boise State announced Tuesday that they were discontinuing their wrestling program, effective immediately, in order to add a baseball program. Even in their statement, the administration admitted they had no timeline, though President Bob Kustra has been talking about baseball as his pet project since at least 2015. Head coach Mike Mendoza and his team were informed that the wrestling program would be no more, cut in an effort to balance a budget that, allegedly, could not support both. However, all of that is now on hold.
