For the second consecutive week, TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week competed at a collegiate open tournament. This time it is Tyler Dow, a 2017 Wisconsin DI state champion and Junior Freestyle Nationals runner-up. Earlier in the week, Tyler signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at the University of Wisconsin, the school he committed to verbally in December of 2016. Rather than take a break to celebrate his signing, Dow took a step up and competed again collegiate competition at the Dan Gable Open. Tyler took third place at 165 lbs and finished with a 4-1 record overall. His lone loss was a one-point decision to a wrestler that went 2-2 at the NAIA Championships in 2017. In his four wins, Tyler racked up 3 falls and a ten point major decision. Congratulations to Tyler, TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week!
