Daniel Cormier is once again the UFC light heavyweight champion of the world despite being forced to watch his hated rival, Jon Jones, declared the victor at the end of their most recent bout on July 29th. Since then, we found out Jones tested positive for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid, the fight result was changed to a no contest, and Cormier was reinstated on top of the division. However, the world bronze medalist and Olympian remains conflicted. Speaking to ESPN, Cormier said, “The people around me, my friends, they tell me that nothing has changed because if he was not fighting completely clean, then there was no fight, but I was there. I fought. In my mind, I lost a competition, but if it was an unfair competition – I shouldn't have been in it.”
