McMurray To Michigan State

MichiganStateLogoThe Michigan State Spartans picked up a verbal commitment on Sunday when Portage, Indiana wrestler, Sean McMurray, informed the coaching staff that he will be matriculating to East Lansing next fall.

McMurray, who will be going for his 3 consecutive Indiana single class state championship this season, was on his official visit when he made his decision.

This off-season, McMurray also made the finals of NHSCA’s Junior Class Nationals at 152lbs. He projects to be a 157lber in college.

On making his commitment to wrestle at the next level, McMurray says, “It’s going to be like living a dream.”

A full interview with Sean will follow shortly.

For Coach Minkel and the rest of the Spartans’ staff, this tallies 3 verbal commitments for the 2010 class. Earlier this summer, Michigan state finalists Nick McDiarmid(197) and Nick Humes(149) also pledged to continue their careers at Michigan State.
