Millersville, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) recently recognized as being the seventh-most improved program in all of Division I in Academic Progress Rate.
Of the 20 schools recognized, Millersville ranked in a tie with Iowa for seventh. Millersville improved its score by 25 points. West Virginia was first with a 38 point improvement. Millersville also improved more than any other program in the East Region.
Academic Progress Rate (APR) is calculated for every Division I sports team each academic year, based on the eligibility, retention and graduation of each scholarship student-athlete. A perfect score is 1,000.
Millersville, along with Bucknell, Harvard, Liberty, Northwestern, Pennsylvania State, U.S. Air Force Academy
and Penn, were the only eight teams in the nation to receive a Public Recognition Award from the NCAA.
