Yesterday, Michigan State announced that they would be adding two-time NCAA qualifier Anthony Tutolo as a graduate transfer in the 2018-19 season. Tutolo will go to East Lansing after spending four years at Kent State, where he finished third and sixth in the MAC, in each of the last two seasons. Anthony, while competing at 133 lbs, won his opening match at the NCAA Championships, upsetting the 15th seed Ali Naser 5-2 before getting eliminated. His career record at Kent State was 77-45.
Tutolo’s addition gives the Spartans four returning NCAA qualifiers, along with RayVon Foley, Austin Eicher and Drew Hughes, a feat that they have not had since 2013.
