Rutgers became the 10th different Big Ten team to appear in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll this season as the new rankings were released on Tuesday.
The Scarlet Knights (7-0) were buoyed by a 20-18 win over then No. 19 Oklahoma on Saturday at the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals in Troy, N.Y. Rutgers also defeated West Virginia and Buffalo and is one of nine teams from the Big Ten ranked in the Top 25. Wisconsin was ranked earlier this season, but has since fallen out of the Top 25.
The top 10 teams remained unchanged, although Iowa (4-0) tallied 10 of the 12 possible first-place votes and is fresh off a 28-8 victory over rival Iowa State.
Second-ranked Minnesota improved to 5-0 with a 19-15 win at home against No. 9 Oklahoma State on Saturday. Cornell (4-0), Penn State (3-0) and Missouri (7-0) round out the top five.
Virginia Tech (4-0), Ohio State (4-1), Nebraska (4-0), Oklahoma State (2-1) and Lehigh (5-1) held steady from 6-10. Lehigh won two matches against ranked Big Ten teams over the weekend. The Mountain Hawks topped Illinois 24-15 and Northwestern 30-10.
Wyoming (3-2) returned to the Top 25 after a solid weekend. The Cowboys topped then-No. 21 Old Dominion 24-10 at the Northeast Duals.
