Out of all of the teams we have previewed thus far, none are capable of the potential firepower that the Arizona State Sun Devils possess. Head coach Zeke Jones is entering his sixth year at the helm for ASU and is ready for a huge season. The Sun Devils storied high school Class of 2015 is getting ready to start their fifth year, so there could be a drop off in 2020-21. Of course, help is on the way for the Sun Devil staff in the form of the second-ranked incoming class of freshmen. Despite redshirting a few critical starters in 2019, Arizona State finished in 12th place at nationals. Six Sun Devils with NCAA experience are back, three of which are All-Americans. Combine them with one of the top redshirt freshmen in the nation and the possibilities that the true freshmen present and there’s the outside chance that ASU could leave Minneapolis with an NCAA team trophy in March. Before we get into the possible lineups for Arizona State, remember that there are some true freshmen involved and they aren’t necessarily locked into these weights just yet. This will be a team to monitor as we get closer to the season to confirm that their freshmen are still on track to make their targeted weights.
