It’s been some time since we’ve previewed one of the teams out West, so let’s travel to the Pac-12 and get a glimpse at the possible lineup for head coach Manny Rivera’s CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners. Rivera is getting ready to start his fourth year at the helm of the Bakersfield program. Though he wrestled in the Big Ten at Minnesota, Rivera is a California native that is overseeing a roster that is comprised solely of California natives. This year’s version of the CSU Bakersfield wrestling team will be led by a pair of returning NCAA qualifiers and a lineup that features a mix of new and old. There could be four seniors starting for Rivera, while at the same time, three weights could be manned by freshmen. This is a team that is looking to jump back into title contention in the Pac-12. Last season, the Roadrunners finished fourth in the conference 28 points behind Oregon State. Here’s what to look for from CSU Bakersfield in the 2019-20 season.
