The Open Mat has learned that Arizona State’s senior 125 lber Ryan Millhof, the 14th seed at this week’s NCAA Championships, will have to withdraw after suffering a career-ending injury after the Pac-12 Championships. Millhof recently was a Pac-12 runner-up for the second consecutive season and earned All-American honors back in 2016 while wrestling for Oklahoma. After injury defaulting out of the Midlands, Millhof missed most of the second half of the season for Zeke Jones’ Sun Devil squad.

At this time his replacement has not been made public and it’s uncertain how the 125 lb bracket will be affected. Ryan was originally slated to meet two-time All-American Zeke Moisey (Nebraska) in the first round. We will provide updates, regarding replacements and a new bracket, once that information is available.

Army West Point’s Trey Chalifoux has been added to the field at 125 lbs. He will assume the 33rd seed and everyone from the 15th-33rd seed will move up one spot.
