Chance Marsteller has announced, via his Twitter account, that he is transferring to Lock Haven University and will wrestle for Coach Scott Moore next year. Marsteller, who was 166-0 and won four Pennsylvania AAA state championships at Kennard-Dale High School, spent the last two years at Oklahoma State. Both his redshirt year and freshman campaign were marred by difficulty cutting down to 157 pounds which likely caused a good portion of his struggles.
Marsteller is still a remarkable talent and will have three years of NCAA competition remaining. Lock Haven qualified two wrestlers for the NCAA tournament in 2016, Dan Neff at 149 and Phil Sprenkle at 197. The Bald Eagles were third at the Eastern Wrestling League tournament.
