On Wednesday, AJ Ferrari, the top overall recruit in the high school Class of 2020 made his college decision public. AJ will wrestle for John Smith and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, whom he chose over Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, and Rutgers, This is the second time in the last four years that Smith and his staff have signed the top wrestler in his class. That brings us to the list of number one recruits for the last 15 years. Ferrari’s commitment pulls Oklahoma State into a tie with Northwestern who has also signed two number one’s during that time period. Penn State is second with a trio of #1’s, while Ohio State stands above all other school with four top recruits wearing scarlet and grey.

Rankings for 2018-2020 are from TOM. 2010-16’s rankings are from my old D1CW website and those before that time are from Intermat.
