Seven D1 Teams with a Chance to End Long All-American Droughts in 2018

At the 2017 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, Jake Residori became SIU Edwardsville's first Division I All-American since Tim Wright in 1987. Not to be outdone, Nathan Kraisser earned the first podium finish in Campbell wrestling history when he clipped Residori's teammate, Freddie Rodriguez, 4-1 in the round of 12. The top programs get a lot of press and rightly so, but there is drama and intrigue to be found throughout college wrestling. Who might be this year's version of Campbell or SIUE, ending a long All-American drought? We see seven schools who haven't had a wrestler on the award's stand in the past 10 years with at least an outside shot entering this season. For each of them, we'll discuss their last All-American and then who might be able to end the dry spell in Cleveland.
