If you read any of my previews leading up to the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, you would have noticed that I have repeatedly brought up how this tournament tends to be a breakout event for some of the biggest stars in the sport. Over the past ten years freshmen such as Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell), Zahid Valencia (Arizona State), Gabe Dean (Cornell), Adam Coon (Michigan), and Logan Stieber (Ohio State) have captured titles at this early season tournament and have established themselves as immediate NCAA title contenders for the rest of their college career. As expected there were plenty of freshmen that had excellent tournaments, some of them were expected like the number one wrestler on this list, others we may not have seen coming. Here are the top ten freshmen from the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
