TOM Interview with Scott Sentes (Campbell)

With less than 48 hours until he takes the mat for the first time as the head coach for the Campbell University Camels, TOM had the opportunity to speak with Scott Sentes. Campbell will take on in-state foe North Carolina on New Year’s Day in the first all-DI dual of the 2021 season. Coach Sentes talks about his transition from the teams head assistant coach to leading man during this unprecedented time. We talk about the Camel squad for the upcoming season and some of the possibilities for lineups around the country with this being a “free-year” eligibility-wise. Among other topics we hit are the importance of rankings this year, his coaching staff, and Campbell’s social media presence. We close by focusing on Coach Sentes’ career at Central Michigan, which led to an impromptu impersonation of legendary head coach Tom Borrelli, along with his 2011 NCAA second-round match against a North Carolina coach he’ll face off with tomorrow.
