TOM Talks to Maryland Head Coach Alex Clemsen

On Tuesday, April 23rd, Alex Clemsen was named head coach for the University of Maryland. Clemsen took over for Kerry McCoy who has spent 11 years leading the Terrapins. Just over two weeks after the announcement of his hire, Clemsen was gracious enough to carve out some time for TOM to come up and talk to him about his new job. We hit on a variety of topics, from his impressive list of mentors in the sport to the future of Maryland wrestling, recruiting, RTC’s, and support from the administration. Clemsen is a tireless worker that has moved up the coaching ladder from a Director of Operations at Oregon State to the Associate Head Coach for an NCAA trophy-winner Missouri Tigers, the post he held most recently until his hire by Maryland.
