Before we close the door on the recruiting Class of 2019, we have to turn our attention to the DII level. Along with our expanded coverage of the DII scene, The Open Mat has delved into recruiting class rankings at this level for the first time. In compiling recruiting rankings, we have looked at the recruiting classes for every DII school in the country to evaluate who did the best job of signing talent and addressing needs. Assessing recruiting classes is not an exact science and can differ based on what you value, large 15 man classes or two to three highly credentialed recruits. A team’s current roster, as well as the impact that the recruit or recruiting class will have on the program, is also considered. Below are the top ten recruiting classes, along with three other honorable mentions. TOM has reached out to each school to try and get the most accurate, recent list of recruits. If there is a recruit that is not listed, please let me know firstname.lastname@example.org
