Before we close the door on recruiting for the Class of 2020, we have to turn our attention to the DII level. Last season, TOM rolled out of 2019 DII Recruiting Rankings for the first time, and probably for the first time. Central Oklahoma took home the honors in 2019 and looks pretty strong again, from a recruiting standpoint; however, they have plenty of challengers. Some of the teams that have assembled excellent recruiting classes in 2020 are traditional powers, while others are new to the DII scene.
In compiling recruiting rankings, we have reached out to every DII school in the country and to evaluate who did the best job of signing talent and addressing needs. Assessing recruiting classes is not an exact science and can differ based on what you value, large 15-man groups, or two/three highly credentialed signees. A team’s current roster, as well as the impact that the recruit or the recruiting class will have on the program, is also considered. Below are the top ten recruiting classes for 2020, along with three honorable mentions. We have tried to find the most accurate and recent list of recruits for each school, so if there is a recruit that is not listed, please let us know here.
