TOM was able to catch up with Princeton’s Associate Head Coach Joe Dubuque to hit on a variety of topics. Dubuque talks about the feelings for 4x All-American Matt Kolodzik who came out of redshirt to help the Tigers fight for a NCAA trophy only to see the tournament get canceled. We also discuss why he left his alma mater, Indiana, for a program that was still developing in Princeton. For my money, the Tigers turnaround is the best in all of college athletics and Dubuque gives some example that supports the claim. We also get into Joe’s career, one of the best in Indiana history, and touch on how a disappointing end to his freshman season helped turn his career around, the mentality to shake off shortcomings at the Big Ten Tournament and win a pair of national titles, and the always-important hype-up music for a young Joe. Not only can Dubuque get it done on the mat and in the coaches corner, he’s also ready to show off his own unique tables he’s built during the quarantine.
