Winning a national title is an extremely difficult task, but to win four titles is something almost unheard in the wrestling world. In 2013, not only did Cornell University’s Kyle Dake become just the third wrestler ever to win four national titles, but he became the first and only wrestler to win it at four different weight classes!
Beginning his career in 2010 at the 141 lbs. class, Kyle finished his career wrestling at 165 lbs! Not only did Kyle win his fourth title in 2013, but he had the most pins in the nation, and was the National Tournament Outstanding Wrestler Award Winner. In his final college match, he defeated the defending 165 lbs. NCAA Champion, and “Outstanding Wrestler” David Taylor to win his win his fourth title.

Kyle was named the Sports Illustrated Male College Athlete of the Year, the WIN Magazine Wrestler of the Year, The Beat the Streets Man of the Year, and the IVY League Wrestler of the Year
