Earlier this week, TOM released our recruiting rankings for the Class of 2020 (1-10 , 11-25). With the book closed on recruiting for this year's outgoing seniors, we may as well look ahead to next year. And by ahead, I mean way ahead. Let’s take a look at the current recruiting standings for the rising seniors, the Class of 2021. Each year, recruiting seems to evolve a little bit, which leads to more and more wrestlers committing to colleges at younger ages. While the top-two wrestlers from the Class of 2021 are currently uncommitted, six of the top ten wrestlers in this class have already made verbal commitments. Looking farther down the list, all of the wrestlers ranked between 11-20 in the Class of 2021 have been spoken for. Only seven out of the top-25 are still looking for a home. With this many big dogs out of the picture, we can make some early forecasts of recruiting rankings in the Class of 2021. Once wrestling gets back underway, our top-150 list will undoubtedly change, so these numbers aren’t set in stone. There’s plenty of time for other teams to jump into the rankings, previously unheralded wrestlers to emerge, or even the dreaded commitment-flips. But before any of that, take a look at our early recruiting standings for the Class of 2021.
