Today one of the nations top juniors Trevor Mastrogiovanni (Blair Academy, NJ) announced his choice of college. Mastrogiovanni is currently ranked fifth in the country at 120 lbs and 14th overall in the high school Class of 2020. Trevor announced that he will be heading to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma State and wrestle for the legend, John Smith. Mastrogiovanni is a two-time National Prep champion that was recently sixth in Fargo at the Junior National Freestyle Championships. Within the last year, Mastrogiovanni was third in freestyle at the UWW Cadet World Team Trials, second at the Beast of the East and a champion at the Walsh Ironman. For him to win his National Prep title, Trevor knocked off Cadet world champion Kurt McHenry, the wrestler who defeated him in the Beast finals.

It appears that Mastrogiovanni will be either a 133 or 141 lber for the Cowboys which could be a need for Oklahoma State depending on the weight choice of Daton Fix. He is the third top recruit to commit to OSU within the past two weeks joining current junior Konner Doucet (Comanche, OK) and second-ranked Brevin Balmeceda (South Dade, FL).
