2018 Walsh Ironman Preview (Part One 106-145 lbs)

Back in October, I called Super 32 the official start to the High School wrestling folkstyle season.

Well, if Super 32 is the wrestling equivalent of the NFL’s Hall of Fame game, Walsh Ironman is the first game of the regular season that they always play on Thursday night on national television. Not only is it the first tournament of the regular season, but it’s also always one of the toughest, with recent champions like Zain Retherford, Kyle Snyder, and Spencer Lee. This year’s tournament is no different, as powerhouse programs such as Blair Academy and Wyoming Seminary lead a star-studded field of teams and wrestlers such as Richie Figueroa and Jordan Decatur headline the marquee.
