For all the talk we give Pennsylvania, Iowa, Ohio, and California, the Garden State can lay claim to one of the toughest state tournaments year in and year out. Because New Jersey, like California, is a single class tournament, all the talent is condensed into some absolutely brutal brackets.

Entering the 2019 tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, big names like JoJo Aragona, Robbie Howard, Sammy Alvarez, and Chris Foca had yet to win state championships. This year’s tournament delivered on all the hype.
