Fargo 2018 – Five Breakout Wrestlers from Men’s Junior Freestyle

After sorting through the results, upsets, and chaos that came from the Men’s Junior Freestyle division at Fargo, here are some of the most impressive breakout wrestlers from the event. None of these competitors came into the tournament with a national ranking, but it will be hard to deny them one after their performances, each impressive in their own way.

Joseph Fischer - South Park, PA  (100 lbs)

A rising high school sophomore, Joseph Fischer qualified for the Pennsylvania state tournament as a freshman at 106 lbs and came up a match shy of placing. Since losing by fall in the state’s Round of 12, Fischer has been lights out and established himself as one of the best 106 lber’s in the nation. Earlier this summer, Joseph represented Pennsylvania at the Junior Duals and came away undefeated in both freestyle and Greco-Roman, despite being young enough to compete as a Cadet.
