With slightly under three months to go before the official start of the high school season, we have entered the preseason phase. Wrestlers have transitioned from freestyle and Greco, back to folkstyle in preparation for state titles. The first major event of the preseason was IndianaMat’s Hoosier Preseason Open. A strong field consisting of wrestlers from across the Midwest and into the South, did battle at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana to take the first step towards a successful 2018-19 high school season. Also, the top four wrestlers at each weight class qualified for the Super 32.
