This week’s Adidas High School Wrestler of the Week award goes to Lenny Pinto of Stroudsburg High School in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Pinto, who also trains with Dark Knights Wrestling Club, just won the 16U Fargo championship at 170 pounds in an absolutely stacked bracket. Pinto blew away the field at the FargoDome, teching his first five opponents in the first round and not allowing a point in any of those matches. The fifth of those bouts was in the semifinals with defending champion Tate Picklo of Oklahoma. Picklo is ranked No. 6 in the country at 160. In the finals, Pinto met up with Washington’s Rylan Rogers for the third time this summer and picked up his second victory with a 7-1 win. Rogers, like Picklo, is the No. 6-ranked wrestler in the country, but at 170. Pinto took third as a sophomore in Pennsylvania, losing only to two-time state champion Edmond Ruth in the state tournament.

Congratulations to Lenny Pinto, TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week.
