This week’s Adidas High School Wrestler of the Week award goes to Ryder Ramsey of Tuttle High School in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Ramsey, a two-time state champion for the powerhouse Tigers and a Fargo All-American, dominated his way through the 138-pound junior bracket at the Southern Plains Regional over the weekend. Ramsey started out his run with a bye in the opening round. He then strung together four consecutive technical falls. Ryder put together an 11-0 victory in the round of 16 before winning 12-2 in the quarters. In the semis, he topped Kansas state third-place finisher Dallas Koelzer 12-2 and then won 10-0 in the finals over Oklahoma runner-up Bryce Dauphin. Ramsey, a junior who is ranked No. 18 in the country at 138 pounds, is already committed to wrestle for Army West Point in college.
Congratulations to Ryder Ramsey, TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week.
