Jadon Davenport follows big bro to Central Oklahoma

Three years ago Jadon Davenport followed his brother Jeromy’s footsteps onto the high school wrestling mat.  The result was three state championships, one silver medal and a 125-12 record.

Jeromy, a four-time state champion who left high school with a 155-4 mark, went on to place in the top five nationally twice for Labette (Kan.) Community College, before moving on to NCAA Division II University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Now Jadon, a Sallisaw senior, will be joining him in Edmond. He signed a letter of intent to wrestle with the Bronchos on Wednesday.

Jeromy, who redshirted this year, will have two years to wrestle with Jadon.
