The Oklahoma State Cowboys had the top-ranked recruiting Class in 2020 and are off to an excellent start with their Class of 2021. Now focusing ahead on the Class of 2022, John Smith’s team received a verbal from one of the state’s top recruits, Jordan Williams (Collinsville, OK). Jordan was recently ranked #13 overall among the junior class and is the first junior to verbal to the Cowboys. Williams is a two-time Oklahoma state champion and competed in FloWrestling’s Who’s #1 earlier this fall. Jordan has done his most damage in Fargo, winning 16U stop signs in freestyle in 2018 and 2019. Also in 2019, Williams made the finals of the freestyle Cadet World Team Trials at 51 kgs. He took the first match from defending World silver medalist, Richard Figueroa (Selma, CA), but dropped the next two and lost the series. Jordan recently went 5-0 for Team Dynasty at the Elite 8 Duals and competed at 138 lbs. Williams has gone from a 100 lber in Fargo in 2018 to 138 lbs in late 2020, so he could end up growing into a 149 lber by the time he’s in Stillwater. While OSU has some highly regarded freshmen and current high school seniors at that weight range, none are as talented as Williams. Jordan is currently ranked #4 nationally at the 138 lb weight class.
