The wrestling preseason is always one of my favorite times of the year. It’s really the only time, save folkstyle nationals, that we get all the nation’s best to various folkstyle tournaments to compete against one another. You’ve got the best of the best at Who’s #1, then you have a tough test at Journeymen, and it culminates with the nation’s toughest folkstyle tournament, Super 32. This also presents opportunities for wrestlers to either make themselves a household name or to carry on the momentum that they had leading into the season. The following wrestlers, in my estimation, had the most impressive preseasons:

Stevo Poulin - 106 (Shenendehowa, NY)
