The Top Five Matches from the 2018 Walsh Ironman

Every year, Walsh Ironman delivers some of the best high school matches you’ll see throughout the season. The tournament has come to be known as one of, if not the toughest of the regular season and turns out stud champion after stud champion. This year was no different. Below are my top five matches from a wild 2018 Walsh Ironman.

5) 182-pound semifinals - Jackson Turley (St. Christopher’s) FALL Devin Winston (Park Hill), 6:36

The first of two 182-pound semifinals on this list, this one was more about the ending than anything else. Devin Winston rolled into Ironman as the top seed and the top-ranked wrestler in the country at 182 having beaten former No. 1 Abe Assad at Who’s #1 to start the season. Jackson Turley, meanwhile, was ranked No. 10 and looking to pull off the upset.
