Today the third-ranked 126 lber in the nation Adam Busiello (Eastport-South Manor, NY) announced via social media that he will be switching his college commitment from Penn State to Arizona State. Busiello announced before his sophomore year of high school that had given a verbal to Penn State. After signing the top-ranked recruiting class in the country in 2018, Cael Sanderson’s crew is now left without a top-100 recruit this season.

Busiello enters his senior season attempting to become only the third five-time New York state champion ever. He recently competed at the Super 32, where he fell short of placing, after winning the high school tournament in each of the last seasons. He also won three Super 32 belt at the middle school level.

Adam will join a star-studded recruiting class for the Sun Devils. The number one overall recruit in the Class of 2019, Cohlton Schultz has committed to head coach Zeke Jones, as have three other top 100 recruits, before Busiello. Earlier this week California’s Sonny Santiago gave ASU their first recruit in the Class of 2020. Adam projects as a 133 lber which appeared to be crowded with young talent in Happy Valley. This should not be as big of a potential problem with Arizona State.
