Once again, the High School Wrestler of the Week competed and placed at a collegiate open tournament. Seth Nevills’ third-place finish at the Roadrunner Open earned him the honor this week. Nevills is a three-time California state champion and the only wrestler in state history to have gone undefeated throughout his first three years of competition. In the 2016-17 season, Seth pinned all 37 of his opponents. Nevills continued showing his pinning prowess at the Roadrunner Open registering falls in two of his victories, including his third-place bout where he pinned Menlo’s NAIA All-American Javier Gonzalez in the second period. His lone loss came at the hands of #11 Youssif Hemida of Maryland, a Round of 12 finisher at the 2017 NCAA Championship. Congratulations to Seth Nevills TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week!
