The high school season is officially underway (in some states) so we have actual results from high school competition on which to base this edition of the High School Wrestler of the Week. Lucas Davison of Chesterton, Indiana, a Northwestern signee, won the 220 lb title at the Ted DeRousse Invitational held at Antioch High School in Antioch, Illinois. Each of Lucas’ four matches ended in a fall and none of his opponents were able to make it into the third period. Davison was one of four Chesterton wrestlers who captured titles at the event and that pushed the Indiana high school to a team title by the wide margin of 46.5 points.. Though he competed this weekend at 220 lbs, Lucas is currently ranked #10 at 195 lbs by TOM. Earlier this Fall, he finished as the runner-up at 195 lbs at the prestigious Super 32. Congratulations to Lucas Davison TOM’s High School Wrestler of the Week!
