TOM’s November Recruiting Rankings

A week after the fall signing period opened up, we have November’s recruiting rankings. Although signing day was last week, the wrestlers considered for these rankings have not all signed, especially since some of these schools (Ivy League) do not sign Letters of Intent. The wrestlers considered for each school have been reported to The Open Mat as either giving a verbal commitment or signing with that school. Each school below has a list of top recruits, this does not comprise the entire recruiting class, they are just the wrestlers who are ranked in TOM’s Class of 2019 rankings or have been in strong consideration for the national HS rankings.

As always, the final recruiting rankings will be released in May after the bulk of the spring signees have been added. That article will feature a more detailed look at each team and their ranking. Remember, ranking recruiting classes is far from an exact science. There are plenty of factors that are evaluated in this process. Overall individual talent, fit with a team/coaching staff, and whether they fill a possible weight of need are all things that we factor into these rankings. The last and most hard to quantify part is what I like to call the “impact on a program” for both an individual and the entire recruiting class. For instance, a wrestler that ends up as a one-time All-American would have a much more significant impact on Sacred Heart as opposed to a wrestler with the same credentials that went to Penn State.

Now that we are all a bit confused, here are the top 25 DI recruiting classes for November 2018.
