Day five of the World Championships continues tomorrow from Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and with it brings the first day of men’s freestyle. Two weights will be contested with two of them and both are Olympic weights. Anyone that finishes in the top five qualifies their country for the 2020 Olympics. For each day of the competition, we’ll do a bracket breakdown for the action that will take place on the following day. With tomorrow’s bracket having been released, here’s what we can expect from the first two men’s freestyle weights.

57 kg - 2017 Junior World Champion Daton Fix will get his first taste of the Senior World Championships tomorrow as his tournament gets underway. Fix was last in action in at the Pan-American Games where he took home the gold medal. Daton’s competition will commence from the bottom half of the bracket in the Round of 32. His first opponent is Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov. While Egorov was 21st and 23rd in his two previous World Championship appearances, he did take the bronze this year at the European Championships.
